Facebook Timeline For Pages – Free Webinar

Facebook Timeline

Have you heard? Facebook Pages are getting a whole new look!

On February 29th with just one month’s notice, Facebook announced that the design and features of Pages will be getting a drastic make over. These changes take place on March 30th – whether you are ready or not.

Not only will Pages look different but there are strict guidelines too. All in, this will mean changes to the way we use Facebook for marketing.

Here are some of the changes coming to your Facebook page:

  • the introduction of Timeline. An entirely new layout and feel including an updated image display, new profile picture sizes and historical posting
  • welcome landing tabs are going! This means finding new and creative ways of encouraging sign ups to your page
  • strict guidelines on what can and can’t be shown on your new cover photo
  • detailed analytics will be even more visible to visitors. This means engaging with your fans is as important as ever!
  • new direct messaging feature so people can send private messages to you through your page – but is that a good thing?

I’ve been testing, tweaking and studying the new format and figuring out how, as small businesses, we can benefit from them.

I have to be honest. From what I’ve seen the changes are really very cool. But they are big, and tricky to understand at first.

But I want to share what I’ve found with you so you can get your page up and running quickly with as little stress and overwhelm as possible.

Free Live Webinar – Recording Available!

Update: The Live webinar has taken place but don’t worry – you can still register for the recording and bonus resources!

On Wednesday March 14th at 8pm GMT I’m getting together with London’s favourite small business marketing mentor, Tam Fox-Davies, to present a FREE Facebook webinar.

In it we’ll be exploring the important changes and covering the stuff you really need to know, including

  • the main changes and what they mean for your business
  • how to make the most of Timeline so you can attract more ‘Likes’ and interaction
  • no more landing tabs and why the alternative could make converting Likes into customers easier
  • the important new guidelines. What you can and can’t do with your Facebook Page

What’s more, we’ll be doing a LIVE Facebook Page make over during the webinar so you can see exactly how to make the changes to your own Page.

I’m really looking forward to doing this webinar with you Alicia. Not just because it’s going to be a lot of fun, but also because these changes have left so many people not knowing where to turn. We can really simplify this for folks.

Thank you, Tamsin, for arranging this. I have just created a FB page and have been looking with horror at the warning that all is to change at the end of the month!
