Simple Email Script: Make your next holiday a perfect sales opportunity

Email marketing tip: Make sales while you relax on holidayIt’s holiday time! Time to kick back with family or take off somewhere special to recharge our batteries and rejuvenate our creativity reserves before everything winds up again.

And, this got me thinking…

What happens to your business when you take off?

Does everything stop (including your income) or do you have everything running along so smoothly your clients wouldn’t notice that you’re gone?

Hopefully it’s the latter. Either way, I want to share a FAB tip you can use the next time you skip away that will ensure your customers still hear from you, and your income doesn’t grind to a halt just because you have.

Last time I used this strategy, I sold all the spots I’d released for my private consult sessions while I lay on the beach drinking cocktails. Sweet!

All it took was one email that I’d pre-written and saved in my back pocket (actually it was my email marketing system to be exact).

My friend Tam calls it her ‘Pret a Porter’ email. An email that contains a special offer just for your email subscribers during the time you’re on holiday.

How to create your Pret A Porter email…

Pen an email now and upload it in your email marketing system like Aweber or Mad Mimi.

You’re not going to send the email right away – keep it for when you next go away, and if you do it now you’ll have one less thing on your long list of essentials before you leave.

This email can be a regular looking email, and you might want to add a reminder prompt if you send regular email updates to your peeps.

In it, make them a special holiday offer that’s only available during the time you’re away.

It could be a discount, a free give away or intro session, a BOGOF (buy one get one free) – whatever works for your business.

Then tell them exactly how to redeem the offer and that you’ll follow up with them when you’re back.

Steal this example script!

I wanted to let you know that even though I’m on holiday right now I’m raising my glass to you. And, as I’m in the holiday mood I’ve created a special offer just for you…

[explain your offer here – make it snappy – just a sentence or 2]

You can claim this special by [explain how they can book and how long it’s available] and as soon as I’m back I’ll be in touch to sort out the finer details.

Then, the next time you go away you can schedule it to send, and by the time you get back from your relaxing break you should have a few more customers or orders waiting for you.

So while you’ve been away chillin’, your business has kept busy working. High five!
