Virtual Assistant proves you can take your business anywhere

posted by Alicia in Social Media & Online Marketing

You may have heard about Anthony Gormley’s fourth plinth project taking place throughout the summer at London’s Trafalgar Square. 2,400 people picked at random from 33,104 applicants to spend one hour each on the fourth plinth, representing the diversity of humanity in an extraordinary living monument. Yesterday, it was the turn of Virtual Assistant and friend, Dee Uzoka, to take her place. Dee chose to represent the Virtual Assistant industry demonstrating the multitude of benefits a VA can bring to businesses, and prove that virtual working is possible anywhere with a little help from the internet and social media. I went along to support Dee and gently coax the inquisitive crowd below to interact with her via Twitter, Facebook & mobile phone while Dee duly responded to in-coming messages using only her netbook. Receiving one message a minute and a multitude of tweets at her very public workplace, the experiment proved to be an overwhelming success. You can watch Dee’s plinth hour here.
